Recently, the CNCA issued the new version of the Implementation Rules for Mandatory Product Certification of Luminaires and Ballasts. According to the announcement, starting January 1, 2027, CCC certification for luminaires and ballast products will be conducted entirely in accordance with the new rules. Prior to this date, certification bodies may, at the request of the certification applicant, carry out CCC certification activities under either the old or the new implementation rules.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the “15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Light Industry and Textile Industry” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”). This document serves as a key guide for driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and advancing China’s efforts to become a global leader in the light industry. The Plan projects that by 2030, the light industry and textile sector will see continuous improvements in intelligence, green practices, and integration; steady progress in transformation and upgrading; and further optimization of its structure and spatial layout. It aims to push the Revenue of enterprises above designated size beyond RMB 30 trillion, while significantly enhancing China’s standing within the global Industry / Supply chain and value chain. The Plan fully embodies the new development philosophy and systematically outlines five major strategic directions along with 14 priority tasks. For the lighting industry, it lays out detailed measures focusing on industrial innovation and application of research outcomes, improving supply–demand alignment, promoting intelligent and green transformation, fostering integrated industrial development, and coordinating and optimizing domestic and international industrial layouts.
