[Exclusive] Best Lamp Designs from the 2013 iF Design Award

　　These are the best designs selected by a foreign website from the 2013 iF Design Award. The editor has picked out several lamp designs that are more relevant to us. Without further ado, let's dive right in — observe, critique, and learn.

　　LED Bulb (Essence LED Retrofit Bulb): A creation from Samsung Electronics. This bulb features a perfectly spherical shape, with the support and electrodes designed to be as narrow as possible on the equatorial plane. It is said that this design provides a perfect light distribution. And the following LED bulb from Samsung, called Laputa, seems to come straight out of Inception.

　　Shake Table Lamp (KENYO KAPU LED Table Lamp): A creation from KENYO Design — friends who often use WeChat will probably love this design. Shake it once, it lights up; shake it again, it turns off~ It has a built-in rechargeable battery and uses LED as the light source.

　　Halo Chandelier (Lirio): A creation from Philips Design, this chandelier resembles Saturn's rings suspended in mid-air~

　　Ring Light (ORANGE Award LED Light): From The Brand Union GmbH, and designed by Norman Quadflieg, Stephan Pantel, and Jens Tarnowski, this light looks like the legendary magic ring. Touch it gently with your finger, and a beautiful gradient orange light illuminates from within the ring.

Bicycle Expressive Taillight (SEIL-bag Bluetooth LED Backpack): A creation from Lee Myung Su DesignLab, consisting of two parts: a compact remote control and an LED display. The display unit can show text and patterns, such as "STOP" (stop), or ← (left turn), → (right turn), and more. The remote control is about the size of a bicycle bell, and through it you can remotely control what's shown on the display. The operation is very simple—just like operating a car's turn signal lever; a gentle flick of the finger does the trick~
