Unilumin Technology and the Electronic Standards Institute have entered into a strategic partnership.

On September 7, the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) and Unilumin Technology officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Building on their respective strengths in industrial technology and standardization, the two parties will focus on emerging display technologies—particularly Micro LED—deepening collaboration in standards development to drive high-quality industry growth.

That morning, the delegation visited Unilumin’s Daya Bay Science and Technology Park, touring the Optoelectronics Exhibition Hall and the Mini/Micro LED smart production line. They gained an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge advancements such as XR virtual shooting and holographic displays, as well as real-world applications of LED technology in sports, cultural tourism, digital exhibitions, commercial retail, and immersive entertainment.

At the event, Liu Xiangang, President of CESI; Chen Xiaoqiang, Deputy Director of the Huizhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration; and Lin Mingfeng, Chairman of Unilumin Technology, delivered remarks and jointly witnessed the signing ceremony.

In his address, President Liu Xiangang commended Unilumin for its strong commitment to standardization efforts, noting that this collaboration will accelerate the implementation of national standards in the LED display sector, translate practical industry innovations into formal standards, and actively participate in both domestic and international standard-setting initiatives. Deputy Director Chen Xiaoqiang emphasized that, as a leading enterprise, Unilumin has set an exemplary benchmark for regional industrial transformation, adding that the supervisory authorities will strengthen support services to help elevate the quality and efficiency of the entire supply chain. Meanwhile, Chairman Lin Mingfeng stated that Unilumin will leverage this partnership, drawing on its technological expertise and accumulated standards experience, to fill gaps in standards for applications such as cinemas, while fostering close collaboration across the value chain to deeply engage in standards development and further enhance the company’s influence within the industry.

That afternoon, a standards kickoff meeting was held at Unilumin’s Shenzhen headquarters, focusing on three industry standards—including the “Indoor MiP LED Display Specification,” jointly developed by Unilumin and South China University of Technology. MiP represents a key packaging form in the evolution of Mini/Micro LED technology; once these standards are finalized, they will provide a unified industry framework for testing methods, performance metrics, and acceptance criteria. Representatives from CESI, South China University of Technology, Xiamen University, Leyard, CSOT, Lehman, Nanjing Lopu, and other organizations, along with industry experts, attended the symposium, working together to advance industry standardization and high-quality development.
