Recently, the Central Social Work Department convened a national meeting on comprehensive strict governance of the Party and warning education for national industry associations and chambers of commerce. It systematically summarized the work on comprehensive strict governance of the Party in national industry associations and chambers of commerce in 2025, studied and deployed key tasks for 2026, and made arrangements for relevant special work. Liu Zheng, Deputy Minister of the Central Social Work Department and Secretary of the Party Committee of National Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Relevant responsible comrades from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the Central Social Work Department attended the meeting and put forward work requirements.

The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and spirit at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, deeply comprehend General Secretary Xi Jinping's strategic deployment on comprehensive strict governance of the Party in the opening year of the '15th Five-Year Plan', profoundly understand the decisive significance of 'Two Establishes', resolutely uphold 'Two Safeguards', further strengthen political responsibility, and promote all aspects of comprehensive strict governance of the Party in national industry associations and chambers of commerce with higher standards and more practical measures.

The meeting pointed out that since the establishment of the Central Social Work Department, it has worked in tandem with the stationed Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group, jointly answering the same question and promoting the integrated advancement of "not daring to corrupt, not able to corrupt, and not wanting to corrupt". To date, over 2,900 problem clues in the field of national industry associations and chambers of commerce have been accepted, cases filed against more than 50 individuals, inquiries by letter or conversation conducted with over 170 people, 7 detention cases handled, and the "four forms" used to educate and discipline over 160 people, continuously promoting the comprehensive strict governance of the Party in national industry associations and chambers of commerce towards greater depth.

The meeting required that we accurately grasp the current situation and tasks of comprehensively and strictly governing the Party in national industry associations and chambers of commerce, and unswervingly implement the adherence to Party leadership and strengthening Party building throughout all aspects and processes of their operations. We must take Party political construction as the overarching guide, further strengthen the political leading role of Party organizations, continuously consolidate the ideological foundation, solidify the grassroots base, improve management systems, and deeply advance the rectification of style, discipline, and corruption. We must seriously organize and carry out learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements to ensure tangible results. We must focus on prominent problems and target our efforts, resolutely rectifying various chaotic phenomena. We must continuously strengthen the standardization, rule of law, and regularity construction of disciplinary inspection work, forging a disciplinary inspection team that is politically strong, capable, disciplined, and clean.

At the meeting, typical cases of violations found during routine supervision and inspections by national industry associations and chambers of commerce were reported. The secretaries of joint party committees (directly managed association party committees) signed the "2026 Comprehensive Strict Governance of National Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce Responsibility Letter". Comrades from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervisory Commission stationed at the Central Social Work Department, comrades from the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Committee of national industry associations and chambers of commerce, and heads of party organizations of national industry associations and chambers of commerce attended the meeting.
