On November 19, 2020, the 5th Meeting of the 8th Council of the China Association of Lighting Industry was held in Shenzhen, with more than 120 council representatives attending.

Chen Yansheng, Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry Chen Yansheng, Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), delivered the "Work Report of the Fifth Meeting of the Eighth Council of CALI." The report outlined the association's work from 2019 to 2020, covering active response to epidemic prevention and control, guiding the industry's resumption of work and production, promoting high-quality development, transformation and upgrading, enhancing the cluster effect of the lighting industry, strengthening brand building in the lighting industry, providing industry-related services, and improving internal governance. It also presented the work plan for 2021. The attending representatives unanimously approved the report with applause.
Liu Shengping, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) Liu Shengping, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), reported to the council on the "Explanation of Adjustments to CALI Leadership." Due to personnel changes in three vice-chairman units, the representative of Foshan Electrical and Lighting Co., Ltd. as vice chairman changed from Liu Xingming to Lei Zihe; the representative of Huizhou NVC Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. changed from Wang Donglei to Lin Liangqi; and following adjustments in the leadership team of Guzhen Town Government in Zhongshan City, the current town mayor Ruan Zhili assumed the role of vice chairman. Vice Chairman Liu Shengping also presented the "CALI 2019 Membership Fee Income and Expenditure Report," detailing membership fee revenues and expenditures, issues regarding fee payments, and financial audit results. After deliberation by the council, the attending representatives unanimously approved the above proposals with applause.

He introduced the proposed new branches. After deliberation by the council, the attending representatives unanimously approved with applause the establishment of the "CALI Smart Streetlight Professional Committee."

Li Mingqi, Vice Chairman of the China Lighting Association and General Manager of Xiamen Honglu Tungsten & Molybdenum Industrial Co., Ltd., presented the "Proposal on the Addition of Council Member Units to the 8th Council of the China Lighting Association" and introduced the enterprises proposed for addition as council member units. After deliberation by the Council, the attending representatives unanimously applauded and agreed to add 10 enterprises as council member units.

Su Yaokang, Vice Chairman of the China Lighting Association, Deputy General Manager of Feilo Acoustics Co., Ltd., and General Manager of Shanghai Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd., presented the "Proposal on the Re-election and Composition Plan of the Standardization Technical Committee of the China Lighting Association" and introduced the preparatory re-election plan for the new Standardization Technical Committee. After deliberation by the Council, the attending representatives unanimously applauded and approved the preparatory re-election plan for the second Standardization Technical Committee and the list of personnel for the new committee.
Wang Haibo, Supervisor of the China Lighting Association and Director of the Electric Light Source Research Institute at Nanjing Tech University Wang Haibo, Supervisor of the China Association of Lighting Industry and Director of the Electric Light Source Research Institute at Nanjing Tech University, delivered the "2020 Supervisory Board Work Report of the China Association of Lighting Industry," reporting on the work of the Supervisory Board in 2020. He affirmed the work carried out by CALI during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as issuing industry initiatives, guiding enterprises to resume production and work in an orderly manner, and holding a series of online forums on industry hot topics. The report also covered the association's activities within the business scope stipulated in its Articles of Association, including financial management, member services, and membership development. The attending representatives unanimously applauded and approved the report.

She introduced the preparation process and structure of the outline, with a detailed focus on its content. She encouraged industry enterprises to provide more opinions and suggestions, pool wisdom and efforts, accurately grasp the direction of industry development, and effectively carry out the preparation of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for China's lighting electrical industry. The association will work hand in hand with enterprises to jointly promote high-quality development of the lighting electrical industry! The Conference was a complete success.
