The 20th Guzhen Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) Grandly Opens

On the morning of October 30, under the guidance of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and jointly organized by the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) and the Capital of Chinese Lighting (China·Guzhen), the 20th China·Guzhen International Lighting Fair was grandly opened at the Guzhen Conference and Exhibition Center in Denguang, Zhongshan, Guangdong. Leaders from the China Council for the Promotion of Industry, including Chairman Zhang Chonghe, as well as leaders from the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government, and CALI attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, leaders from the China Association of Lighting Industry, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government, and the Guzhen Town People's Government delivered speeches, highly affirming Guzhen Lighting Fair's leading role and dragon-head status as the "weather vane" of the national lighting industry development. Liu Shengping, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry, stated in his speech: The successful conclusion of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has inspired the Chinese people to step into a new era and motivated lighting professionals to innovate, develop, and strengthen their enterprises. In the decade-plus years following the first Lighting Fair in 1999, Guzhen Town underwent tremendous changes.

While the exhibition area expanded, more emphasis was placed on premium and fashionable luminaire products; while the number of patents surged, it was accompanied by improved and strengthened patent protection. After the title of "Capital of Chinese Lighting" became renowned overseas, merchants from all over the world learned about Guzhen in Zhongshan, known as the "source of lighting products, serving 6 billion people globally."

Today, the 20th China Guzhen International Lighting Fair opened. Guzhen Town will open its arms to welcome friends from all over and merchants from home and abroad, to better understand the cultural connotation of the Capital of Lighting, pay attention to the rapid development of China's lighting industry, share the results of enterprises' independent innovation, enable more Made in China products and Guzhen lighting to go global, and serve the world along the "Belt and Road".

Subsequently, ceremonies were held for the awarding of the demonstration zone for innovative upgrading of characteristic regions and industrial clusters of China's light industry, the founding member unit plaque ceremony of the Guzhen Lighting Brand Alliance, the award ceremony for the Guzhen Capital Cup · Chinese Writers Report Literature Award, and the plaque ceremony for the branch venue of the Lighting Fair.

The current Lighting Fair runs from October 30 to November 3, lasting 5 days. The exhibition is based on Guzhen Town's super-trillion-yuan lighting production and trade industrial cluster, further deepening the "two exhibitions linkage" and "exhibition-store linkage" exhibition model, linking with the 2017 Guzhen Lighting Production Equipment, Raw and Auxiliary Materials and Supporting Services Exhibition (Autumn) (hereinafter referred to as "Guzhen Manufacturing Exhibition") and 7 major professional lighting malls within the town, highlighting design and industrial manufacturing cores, comprehensively building a professional, market-oriented, and international lighting professional exhibition. With a "1+7" scale, over 1.5 million square meters of exhibition area, nearly 2,000 high-quality lighting enterprises jointly showcased, hundreds of thousands of lighting professionals jointly opening the golden autumn lighting gala.
